“I will come”: clients confirm the visit themselves, and you only call those who stay silent

Calling everyone booked for tomorrow takes an administrator an hour a day. Now the reminder has an "I will come" button, confirmed bookings get a check mark, and the dashboard lists those who haven't answered.

A no-show is rarely malicious. The client forgot, mixed up the day, or decided not to come and feels awkward saying so. The usual cure is a call the day before: the administrator phones everyone booked for tomorrow. When the administrator works online, answering Instagram, Telegram and Viber, those calls eat an hour a day, and most of them are unnecessary — people would have come anyway.

Now clients confirm the visit themselves, and you only need to call those who stayed silent.

What the client sees

The visit reminder gets a line "Confirm your visit or reschedule" and a link to the booking page. The page has an "I will come" button next to "Reschedule" and "Cancel booking".

If the client is subscribed to Telegram reminders, the buttons sit right under the message: "✅ I will come" and "Reschedule or cancel". One tap — the bot replies "Thank you! We are waiting for you", and the button disappears.

Rescheduling counts as an answer too: a client who picked a new time themselves clearly plans to come.

Only pressing the button confirms the visit. Opening the link is not enough: messengers open links on their own to build a preview, and such a "visit" means nothing.

What you see

  • A check mark in the calendar. A confirmed booking shows a green check with the tooltip "The client confirmed the visit". The booking card shows the mark with the confirmation date.
  • The status. If the booking was in its initial status, it moves to "Confirmed" by itself. A status you set by hand, such as waiting for a prepayment, stays as it is.
  • The list on the dashboard. The "Not confirmed for tomorrow" card lists tomorrow's bookings with no answer. Those who tapped "I will come" are not there — only these people need a call. The "not delivered" mark means the reminder never reached the client, who may not know about the visit at all.

A master without access to all bookings sees only their own clients in the list.

How to set it up

Open Settings → Reminders. The "Ask the client to confirm the visit" switch is on by default.

The request repeats in every reminder until the client answers. With two reminders, a day and two hours before, a client who confirmed the day before won't see the request in the second one.

The booking link appears in the reminder even when the "reschedule or cancel" link is turned off in settings: without it the client has nothing to tap. Turn confirmation off and everything goes back to how it was.

When the confirmation is reset

If you move the booking to another day or time, the mark is removed: the client confirmed the old time, not the new one. The next reminder will ask again.

A cancelled, completed or past booking can't be confirmed: the page won't show the button, and the bot will say the booking can no longer be confirmed there.

How to get the button in Telegram

The button under the message only works in our reminder bot. Clients subscribe to it from their booking page — the link arrives right after booking. What this bot is and how it differs from the salon's own bot is explained in The client bot and the salon bot. Channel order and email limits are covered in Client reminders.
