Google reviews: how to send happy clients there

A happy client rarely opens Google Maps on their own to write a review. BeeSection asks them after the visit and, if the rating is good, gives them a button to your Google profile. All it takes is one link. Here is where to get it and where to paste it.

When someone looks for a salon nearby, they see stars and a review count in Google Maps. Most reviews come from unhappy clients: a happy client simply goes home. To get more reviews from happy ones, ask at the right moment and give them a direct link.

In BeeSection this needs no extra services and no access to your Google account. Just one link.

How it works

  1. You close the visit and take payment at the cashbox.
  2. A few hours later (3 by default) the client gets a message asking them to rate the visit. It goes through the same channel as reminders: the Telegram bot, email or your SMS provider.
  3. On the page behind the link the client gives 1 to 5 stars and can add a comment. No sign-up needed.
  4. If the rating is good, the client sees "We are glad you liked it. Would you tell others?" and a Leave a Google review button. It opens the review form for your salon specifically.
  5. If the rating is low, there is no button. Only you see the review, in the CRM, and you get a chance to sort things out with the client in person rather than in a public argument.

Every rating, good or bad, lands in the CRM for moderation. More on review collection itself in Reviews after the visit.

The link comes from your Google Business Profile. Sign in with the Google account that manages your salon's profile and find your salon in Google Search or Google Maps. A profile management panel appears above the result. Click Ask for reviews (or Get more reviews) and copy the link. It looks like https://g.page/r/…/review.

If there is no such button, the profile is not verified yet. Google does not give out a review link for unverified profiles, so start by verifying it at business.google.com.

Check the link: open it in an incognito window. It should open the review form for your salon, not just a map page.

  1. Open Cards & reviews → Reviews. If gift cards are turned off for you, the menu item is just Reviews.
  2. Click Review collection at the top of the page.
  3. Make sure Ask for a review after the visit is ticked.
  4. Paste the link into Google reviews link.
  5. Save.

The same window has three settings that decide how many reviews reach Google:

  • Hours after the visit — from 0 to 168. Three hours is enough for a manicure or a haircut. For treatments whose result shows the next day, use 24.
  • A good rating starts at — 2 to 5 stars, 4 by default. Only clients who rate at this level or higher see the Google button.
  • Request text — your own wording instead of the default. The placeholders {salon}, {client}, {master}, {service} and {link} are inserted with the buttons below the field. Keep {link}: without it the client has nothing to tap.

Who gets the request

  • Only clients whose visit is closed and paid. A cancelled visit is no reason to ask.
  • One request per visit. It is never sent twice.
  • Not during quiet hours: 21:00 to 9:00 by default. A request that falls at night goes out in the morning.
  • Not clients who unsubscribed from mailings.
  • If the client has no channel at all (no Telegram, no email, no phone for SMS), the request waits a week and then closes unsent. That way the client will not get "how was your visit?" a month later, once someone finally adds their phone number.

What it does not do

Worth knowing the limits so you do not expect more:

  • Reviews from Google are not pulled into the CRM. The Reviews section shows the ratings clients gave on the BeeSection page. Whatever they then wrote on Google is visible only on Google.
  • Replies to Google reviews are written on Google, in your Business Profile or the Google Maps app.
  • We cannot tell whether the client actually posted a Google review. The button opens Google's form; the rest is up to the client.

Review collection is included in plans from Start.

In short

Copy the Ask for reviews link from your Google profile, paste it into Review collection and check the threshold. After that it runs on its own: after every paid visit, happy clients get a direct route to your Google profile.
