Reviews after the visit - how they are collected and where positive ones lead

Three hours after payment the client gets a request to rate the visit. A rating of 4 or higher leads to your Google profile; a lower one stays with you. Here is what you can set up.

Reviews on Google bring clients from search. But asking every client for one is a job nobody does. In BeeSection the request goes out by itself, to the right people at the right moment.

Review collection works from day one without setup. Here is what happens by default and what you can change.

When the request goes out

A request is created when a visit is closed and paid at the register. Not by the booking status but by the closing of the visit: otherwise the message would arrive while the client is still paying at the desk.

From visit to review

It is not sent immediately but 3 hours after closing. The delay can be changed from zero to a week. One request per visit; it is never sent twice.

Requests do not go out during quiet hours. By default that is 21:00 to 9:00 in your location's time zone, and the bounds can be changed in the mailing settings. A visit closed at 20:00 produces a request in the morning, not at 23:00.

A client who unsubscribed from mailings does not get the request. A review is closer to marketing than to a service message, and consent to reminders is not consent to it.

Through which channel

The same as reminders: by default the Telegram bot, then email. A connected SMS provider joins the same list. The message text can be your own, with placeholders: salon name, client name, specialist, service and the link.

What the client sees

At the link, a page with a rating from 1 to 5 and a comment field. No registration. The rating can be changed within 24 hours of sending; after that it is fixed.

Then the threshold applies. By default a rating of 4 or more counts as positive, and the threshold can be set from 2 to 5. A client with a positive rating sees a button linking to your Google profile, if you entered it in the settings, and can repeat the review there. A client with a lower rating sees no such link: their review stays with you, a chance to sort things out rather than a public argument.

Moderation and rating

Every review lands in the CRM with the status "pending". You publish or reject it; the queue counter is visible in the reviews section.

A specialist's rating is calculated only from published reviews, as an average rounded to one decimal. It is shown once there are at least three reviews: two reviews of 5 do not make a specialist "5.0", and a rating on such grounds would mislead.

On the public booking page the rating and the number of reviews appear next to the specialist. Review texts are not shown to clients; they are visible only inside the CRM, in the employee card.

What to set up

Three things, a minute each:

  1. The Google profile link. Without it a positive review leads nowhere.
  2. The delay. Three hours suits most; for long procedures whose result shows the next day, set 24.
  3. The threshold. If your team collects fives consistently, raise the threshold to 5 so that only those go to Google.
