Team devices: who works from the app, a lost phone, and the “app only” rule

The owner sees which devices the team works from and who has the app installed. A lost or someone else's phone can be blocked, and the salon's data is wiped from it. On phones you can allow work only through the app.

A specialist left, and their phone still has the CRM icon with the schedule and clients' numbers. Or the administrator's phone was left in a taxi. The Devices section answers “who sees the salon's data and from where” and lets you cut off access with one tap.

Where it is in the CRM

“Settings → Devices”. Visible to the owner and those allowed to manage users.

What you see

For each device: whose it is, phone or computer, whether the app is installed, whether push and Telegram are on, when it was last used. At the top, a summary: how many people on the team work from the installed app.

This matters for a reason. On iPhone, push notifications arrive only in the app added to the Home Screen, and offline mode works only there too. Whoever works from the browser won't learn about a new booking until they open the CRM. How to install: “Installing BeeSection as an app”.

Block a device

The “Block” button next to a device:

  • all sessions on that device end at once, and a new sign-in from it won't go through;
  • when the device goes online and the app is opened, the salon's data is wiped from it: the saved schedule, unsent changes, the cache. The sign-in screen tells the person the device is blocked;
  • push stops arriving on that device.

You can't block the device you're using right now, so you don't lock yourself out. Only the owner can block the owner's devices.

Worth knowing:

  • A device is recognised by its browser. Another browser on the same phone is another device. To cut a person off completely, deactivate their account in “Staff”.
  • The Home Screen icon can't be removed remotely. But it opens on the sign-in screen, without the salon's data.
  • Unblock with the same button.

“On phones — only from the installed app”

A switch at the top of the section. When it's on, a staff member who opens the CRM in a phone browser sees a hint instead of the CRM: how to install the app on iPhone or Android and what to do if it's already installed.

  • Computers and the company owner aren't restricted.
  • On iPhone, links from Telegram and email open in Safari, so from there you'll also need to switch to the app.
  • This is a working rule, not protection: it can be bypassed. To cut off access, block the device.
