BeeSection is not in the app stores, and that does not mean there is no app. The CRM installs straight from the browser: the page is added to the home screen and from then on behaves like an ordinary app. It takes less than a minute, and for a specialist working from a phone the difference is noticeable.
What installing gives you
- An icon on the home screen. The CRM opens with one tap instead of "tabs - bookmarks - it was around here".
- A window without an address bar. More screen, and nothing to tap by accident.
- Shortcuts. A long press on the icon opens a list - Bookings, Clients, Tasks - straight into the section you need.
- Push notifications on iPhone. In an ordinary Safari tab they do not exist at all; that is a system limitation. In the installed app they work.
- A screen that opens without a connection. The app shell lives on the device, so in a lift or the salon's basement you see the app rather than a browser error.
There is no "Install" button inside the app: the browser offers installation, and each browser keeps it in its own place. Here is where.
iPhone and iPad: Safari
- Open your CRM address in Safari. Chrome on iPhone will not add it to the home screen - that is a system limitation, not ours.
- Tap Share - the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll the list and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Adjust the name if you like, then tap Add.
The icon appears on the home screen. Open the app from that icon, and switch notifications on from there, in Settings - Notifications. Switch them on in a Safari tab and the system will refuse, which looks exactly like something being broken.
Android: Chrome
- Open your CRM address in Chrome.
- Menu (three dots, top right) - Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Confirm.
Chrome on Android often offers installation itself, as a bar at the bottom of the screen. If it appears, accepting it is enough.
How the app differs from the site
The code is the same; the wrapper differs - but two differences are felt in daily work.
Notifications. On Android push works in a tab as well; on iPhone only in the installed app. If you are setting up notifications for your specialists, installing stops being a matter of taste.
Behaviour without a connection. The app opens and the data you last looked at stays visible - as a snapshot, labelled with how old it is. Take that literally: it is a snapshot, not live data. Bookings, clients and money will not arrive from the server without a connection, and we deliberately do not keep them in the browser cache.
Actions you took offline are not lost: they queue up and go out one at a time, in the order you made them. An operation leaves the queue only after the server confirms it, and a refusal on the merits - "that slot is already taken", say - is shown to you with its reason. That is the difference between "not sent yet" and "lost".
Updates
The app updates itself: a new version is picked up the next time you open it, and there is nothing to download. If a screen behaves oddly after an update, close the app completely and open it again.
If it did not work
- Safari has no "Add to Home Screen" - you are not in Safari, or the page is open in private browsing.
- The icon opens a browser with an address bar - an ordinary bookmark was added; delete it and repeat through Share.
- Notifications will not switch on in the installed app - permission is denied at the system level. Clear the block in the phone's settings for that app and try again; it cannot be cleared from inside the app.
- An old version keeps opening - close the app completely (not just minimise it) and open it again.
